Electric Motorcycles
Street-legal electric motorcycles from $3,999. Most electric motorcycles start north of $8,000. HMP Bikes builds DOT-approved, road-capable machines for a fraction of that — without cutting the things that matter: real speed, real range, and removable batteries you can carry inside to charge.
Why an electric motorcycle instead of a moped or scooter?
A moped tops out around 30 mph and is capped by law. An electric motorcycle is a full road vehicle: it plates and insures as a motorcycle, it is legal to lane split in California, and it can hold its own on faster roads.

What every HMP motorcycle gives you
- Street legal & DOT-approved — ships with the MCO and complete registration documentation.
- Removable lithium batteries — lift the pack out and charge indoors, no garage outlet required.
- Two-up seating with a 397 lb load capacity, built for commuting and delivery work alike.
- IPX6 water resistance — rain-ready.
- No dealer prep fee. Lightning MK.II arrives fully assembled; FLASH needs only the handlebar and front panel fitted.
Licensing
Because these are motorcycles rather than mopeds, you need a motorcycle license to ride one on public roads — in California, an M1. Requirements vary by state, so contact us and we will help you confirm what applies where you ride.
