Maintenance without dealer dependency

You won’t need a dealer the way you would with a gas bike.

FLASH ownership should feel simpler than owning a gas scooter. There is no engine oil, spark plugs, valve service, fuel system or CVT maintenance. What remains is the normal wear-item side of motorcycle ownership—tires, brakes and periodic safety checks—and a qualified local motorcycle or powersports shop can handle that mechanical work.

Which version should I buy?
Choose the single battery when keeping the purchase price low matters most and your normal ride is comfortably under about 40 miles. Choose dual battery for regular freeway riding, longer commutes, two-up use or higher-mileage work. Dual battery is the version represented by the 75 mph and 70–85 mile SF-tested figures.
What is the difference between the 840 W Portable Charger and 2 kW Onboard?
The 840 W Portable Charger is the lower-price configuration and can charge a battery while it remains installed in FLASH or after the pack is removed for indoor charging. The 2 kW Onboard configuration adds faster direct-to-bike charging through J1772 or a compatible 200–240V source while keeping the batteries removable.
Can I ride with only one battery installed?
Yes. FLASH can operate normally with one pack installed. With two packs installed, both packs are connected in parallel and discharge simultaneously—they work together, not one after the other.
How much under-seat storage remains with both batteries installed?

What power do the charging systems require?

What arrives in the shipping crate?
The vehicle arrives mostly assembled. The customer must install the handlebar and front panel before use. HMP provides setup guidance; riders who are not comfortable with motorcycle setup should arrange professional assembly.
What routine maintenance does FLASH need?
FLASH does not need oil changes, spark plugs, valve adjustments, fuel-system service or CVT belt and roller replacement. Routine maintenance focuses on tires, brake pads and discs, brake fluid, suspension and steering inspections, plus periodic battery and controller checks. Replacement is based on actual wear and the owner-manual schedule.
Do I need an HMP dealer for normal service?
No. Any qualified motorcycle or powersports shop can handle normal mechanical work such as tires, brakes, fluid and safety inspections. HMP provides direct support for the high-voltage battery, controller and vehicle electronics.
What happens if I have an electrical problem outside San Francisco?
HMP starts with a live technician video call, then sends a repair video and any required part. If you cannot complete the repair, HMP arranges local hands-on assistance. If that still does not resolve the issue, HMP sends its own technician, including travel when required. Timing and coverage depend on diagnosis, location and warranty status.
